Reverend Maroney is the Interim Moderator of St. James.
I was born in Wallaceburg and grew up as a PK (Preacher’s Kid). I graduated from Heritage Baptist College in 1996, and have served Ontario churches in Louisville (1996-2000), Norwich (2000-2005), and Wallaceburg (2005-2017). Five of my greatest blessings in life are my wife Katie, and our children Danielle, Luke, Alex, and Amanda.
In 2018, I began a new adventure of pulpit supply and interim ministry, and that is how I came to know the congregation at St. James. They are a loving family, and I am delighted to come alongside them in this season of their ministry, preaching God’s Word and sharing the Good News of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
I was born in the Netherlands 5 days after its liberation. Thank God the Canadians arrived in time with help and food or I likely would not have survived.
I graduated from a Christian high school with a good dose of Church History and Theology besides the regular curriculum. From there I went to Trinity Christian college and took additional courses by correspondence from the University of waterloo. I attended Tyndale seminary part time for a number of years until my husband’s death made it undoable.
I taught for 40 years, 20 in elementary and 20 in High School. 2 years after retiring I was asked to become part time pastor at St James. I hope and pray I have blessed the folks there. I know they have blessed me, given me much joy and delight and have completely cured me of missing teaching. Thank God for His blessings. So thankful the Lord has given me the opportunity to do what was always a deep heart’s desire but never thought of because of being a woman.
